JUNE 2024 Tuskegee University is pleased to announce that $2.4 million in funding will be used to fortify its Student Affairs Division and enhance campus safety and student wellness programs. This financial boost comes from the $20 million gift announced last month from an anonymous donor and will help enrich the university experience for all students.
MAY 2024 - After completing a thorough search process, considering candidates from across the nation, The Tuskegee University Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mark Brown ‘86 as the university's 10th president and chief executive officer. Dr Brown's selection is the first time in Tuskegee's nearly 143-year history that an alum will lead the university. Dr. Brown's tenure on will begin on July 1.
MAY 2024 - The Tuskegee University Marching Crimson Pipers will be among eight HBCU bands chosen to perform at the 10th Annual National Battle of the Bands. The Battle of the Bands will be held Sunday, August 25 in Houston Texas.

MAY 2024 - The Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM) welcomed 63 new doctors of veterinary medicine into the 75th graduating class on May 4 during the Graduate and Professional Schools formal ceremony in the Chappie James Arena.
With the Oath and Hooding ceremony, Tuskegee has now awarded over 3,000 veterinary medicine degrees from the only veterinary medical professional program on the campus of a Historically Black College or University.

Tuskegee University proudly announces the 2024 President's Essay Contest winners. The contest, aimed at promoting critical thinking and meaningful discourse, attracted submissions from various disciplines, reflecting the diversity and academic excellence synonymous with Tuskegee.
The winners of the President's Essay Contest are as follows:
APR 2024 - Tuskegee University students participated in a multi-disciplinary initiative that created opportunities for students to focus on design, leadership and collaboration. Students from different majors worked together to complete a re-imagined design of Legion Field Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama. The project is part of a partnership with the NFL and the Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Science that was announced last fall.
APR 2024 - Tuskegee University students grabbed first place during the National HBCU/MI Entrepreneurship and Innovation Business Plan Competition held in Atlanta last weekend.
The students edged out 22 other HBCUs in developing written business plans that were presented to professionals and entrepreneurs in a “Shark Tank” protocol.
